Among the recent hot news that we get to hear from 3D printing industry, this news seems to have a long lasting impact. ColorFabb which is a well known material supplier has teamed up with 3D hubs, which is another name that has grasped the attention of all in this industry to offer filament.
For all those who are new to this industry, here is a brief introduction of the two companies. 3DHubs is an unique venture started by two very innovative individuals Bram de Zwart and Brian Garret in 2013. The main aim of the company is to connect owners of 3D printers with people in the neighboring areas who are interested in 3D printing objects but are unable to afford them. On the other hand is ColorFabb is a filament supplier offering high quality materials.
The heads of both these organizations collaborated to offer filaments at attractive prices to the listed members of 3DHubs. They both believe this venture will prove be a win-win situation for both the companies. In a statement released by ColorFabb, the company says, “We’re proud to be the first materials supplier to team-up with 3D Hubs. We look forward to releasing our new materials such as ColorFabb XT-copolyester, made with Eastman Amphora 3D Polymer, to a user group that really needs functional performance materials. All of our future developments will of course be available for the 3D Hubs community as well.”
The Dutch companies are very aware of the success that this partnership will bring to both the sides as well as the potential that is available to subscribers.
